Impact and stories

Community stories

Diverse voices, bold ideas, real impact: spotlights on the cultures that call Fargo-Moorhead home, plus news from CDR's programs and community.

Community Stories is where we tell the stories behind our work. In our Spotlight on Culture series, writers from the community introduce the traditions, foods, celebrations, and histories of the cultures that make up Fargo-Moorhead, from longtime neighbors to newly arrived families. Alongside the spotlights we share program news: what participants are building in small business training, what SEED conversations are teaching us, and how volunteers and AmeriCorps VISTA members are strengthening local organizations.

Every story is written to be useful whether you are an immigrant or refugee looking for resources, a lifelong resident wanting to understand your neighbors better, or a partner organization looking for ways to collaborate.
