What volunteering with CDR looks like

Volunteers show up wherever our programs do: welcoming guests and setting up at cultural events and award nights, sharing professional experience with participants in small business and financial education trainings, tutoring and leading after-school activities, and lending office and outreach help that keeps a small nonprofit running. You do not need any special background, just a willingness to work alongside neighbors from many cultures.

Tell us your interests and availability in the form below and a team member will follow up to find the right fit.

Partnerships

Partner with CDR

Since 1994, CDR has served as the regional intercultural bridge, and we do that work with partners. Here are the most common ways organizations collaborate with us.

  • Refer clients to CDR programs, or receive referrals from our Self-Sufficiency staff
  • Book certified interpreters through the Metro Interpreters Resource Center
  • Bring customized diversity training or a cultural presentation to your staff
  • Co-host a cultural event, or sponsor Pangea and the Native American Festival
  • Join the Multicultural Alliance if you are a BIPOC-led nonprofit in Cass or Clay County
  • Host CDR entrepreneurship or financial education classes at your location
